1st Watercolor. This was piece was done from a photo reference of a house my wife liked. A dream of ours to live near the coast. As water color is not my main medium and is new to me, I enjoy being part of water color sites. There I can find inspiration and learn new things. I don?t usually post any of my art. 1st. Watercolor...This piece was done from a photo reference of a home my wife liked. A dream of ours to live near the coast. Title or Location: Woodland pool
This work was created using a ? spontaneous watercolour? technique. The first layer of colour was applied randomly wet on wet. The paint created the framework for the scene, which I enhanced with detailing. I love the way watercolours can paint themselves, almost as if the scene was just waiting to be revealed and I just uncovered it.

Teaching watercolor landscapes to my 5th grade students, I, also, do one with the classes. Along the way, I will show certain techniques or explain specific problems with the painting as it was being created. This is my interpretation of a photo taken by Tommy White that was printed in the Our State magazine.
